More music, all the time

Writing our monthly music reviews is one of my favorite parts of this job. Although I spend hours with my shoulders tensed and eyes narrowed, obsessing over each word and phrase, I love sifting through song after song, album after album. There’s a pile of new releases in my car right now, and I can’t wait to bond with each of those discs.

But with only a few hundred words to fill in each month’s magazine, there’s always so much left unsaid. Birmingham Box Set will give us an opportunity to bring you even more music. It’ll feature interviews with the musicians coming through town, more music reviews, coverage of local bands and concert diaries. It’s more complete coverage, just like you would find in your favorite musician’s box set!
